Somali Midwifery Association (SOMA) participated in the validation meeting of the Second Five-Year National Midwifery Strategy for Somalia 2024-2029

As SOMA, we are honored to have contributed to the development of the National Midwifery Strategy 2024 to 2029, and now, we actively participated in its validation process.

SOMA’s involvement in both the development and validation of the National Midwifery Strategy underscores our commitment to shaping the future of midwifery practice in our country. We firmly believe that this collaborative endeavor will pave the way for enhanced education, evidence-based practice, and policy advocacy, ultimately improving the health and well-being of mothers and newborns in Somalia.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Health and Human Rights and UNFPA for their unwavering support in making this initiative possible. Together, we are working tirelessly towards a future where every woman in Somalia receives safe, respectful, and high-quality midwifery care throughout their maternal journey.

Together, we can make a profound impact on the well-being of mothers and newborns in Somalia!
